At KinematicSoup, we are focused on live systems for collaboration, competition, and making richer experiences. Whether working together real-time using Scene Fusion, or streaming live physics in a multiplayer environment, we think of the virtual world as parallel to our own and just as persistent.
We released Scene Fusion for Unity some time ago, and now we are nearing the time to bring it to Unreal as well. Yes, real-time collaboration in Unreal Engine will be a reality!
As with our Unity version, we are going to work with some close partners at first (if you are interested in becoming one, you can let us know!). Making existing game engines work this way is a long learning process, though it is a road we've been down before, and the results have been quite effective.
